Despite more people now using solar power for their homes and businesses, there are still plenty of myths surrounding solar power. Myth: It’s very expensive to set up and install.

Hybrid systems and off-grid solutions like these are now the norm for most homes, providing more reliable power and less energy consumption from the main grid throughout the day.
Myth: Local governments are no longer offering feed-in tariffs for solar power, lessening savings for the user.
Truth: Compensation and savings from feed-in tariffs depend on your location and your state government’s guidelines. Some governments have stopped feed-in tariffs for solar power altogether, while others have simply modified their rates. While government feed-in tariffs are no longer available in general, some users in certain places may be still be eligible.
